The Krimml Waterfalls – Krimmler Wasserfälle – are 380 m high (from 1,470 m above sea level to 1,090 m above sea level), making them one of the highest in Europe and placing them ninth among the world's tallest waterfalls. The Krimml Waterfalls were formed by the destructive activity of a glacier. They consist of three rock ledges, the lowest of which is the most spectacular.

Each year, it is visited by approximately 1 million tourists, and since its establishment in 1935, it has been visited by 50 million tourists.
