Krimml Waterfalls

Krimml – Europe's Largest Waterfalls Wave

60 km from our guesthouse, you'll find a spectacular natural wonder – one of Europe's largest waterfalls in a beautiful, alpine setting. Sunrise

The Krimml Waterfall was formed by the erosive activity of a glacier and is 380 metres high (from 1470 m above sea level to 1090 m above sea level). It consists of 3 tiers, the first and highest of which is 140 metres high, with the subsequent two being slightly lower. The waterfall plunges in a narrow stream from almost vertical rocks, changing direction twice. 😲

The power of water and the beauty of its nature can be admired up close by visiting the waterfalls along a special 4-kilometre scenic route running alongside the river. 🀩

The difference in elevation on the route is just over 400 metres, and it includes several points with viewing platforms.

In our opinion – it’s really worth it, even with children. GirlBaby

Important information:

– Entry to the scenic route costs 5 Euros – adults, 2 Euros child

– You will reach the first, highest waterfall threshold from the car park in 10-15 minutes

– It's worth planning this attraction during Gerlos Pass motorcycle route, – but to stay within the time limit, we suggest walking to the first waterfall ledge, which is the most spectacular 😊

– We recommend planning this trip for a sunny and warm day

The attraction is open daily until the first half of October.
