Krimml β Europe's Largest Waterfalls ![]()
60 km from our guesthouse, you'll find a spectacular natural wonder β one of Europe's largest waterfalls in a beautiful, alpine setting. ![]()
The Krimml Waterfall was formed by the erosive activity of a glacier and is 380 metres high (from 1470 m above sea level to 1090 m above sea level). It consists of 3 tiers, the first and highest of which is 140 metres high, with the subsequent two being slightly lower. The waterfall plunges in a narrow stream from almost vertical rocks, changing direction twice. ![]()
The power of water and the beauty of its nature can be admired up close by visiting the waterfalls along a special 4-kilometre scenic route running alongside the river. ![]()
The difference in elevation on the route is just over 400 metres, and it includes several points with viewing platforms.
In our opinion β itβs really worth it, even with children. ![]()
