The distinctive silhouette of the Kitzsteinhorn has made the "white mountain" a symbol of the Zell am See–Kaprun region. As the country's highest viewpoint, the "Top of Salzburg" panoramic platform at 3,029 m above sea level offers a unique panoramic view of Austria's highest peaks and the pristine wilderness of the adjacent Hohe Tauern National Park.
Beginners and families will find excellent skiing terrain at the Maiskogel ski resort, located right in the centre of Kaprun. The "Maisiflitzer" alpine coaster, situated next to the valley station of the cable car, along with an adjacent large playground, offers our youngest visitors fantastic attractions and a wealth of outdoor fun and activity all year round.
