Cancellation of reservation

 AND BOOKING CONDITIONS

1/ All matters concerning the Guesthouse are subject to jurisdiction of the court in Zell am See, unless the parties agree otherwise -
and they will include these provisions in a separate written agreement.
2/ Confirmation of reservation is payment deposit in the amount agreed in the offer (which the Guesthouse sends to the Guest by e-mail), unless the parties agree otherwise - but then all provisions have the same effect as a deposit payment.
(i.e. the Guest House is obliged to book the stay and the Guest is obliged to arrive in the designated area).
3/ The offer presented to the guest includes the amount of the whole stay, the amount of the deposit and the deadline for its payment. After the expiry of the deadline, the guesthouse is not obliged to set an additional date and hold the reservation.
4/ In exceptional situations (i.e.: day bookings made just before arrival), the guesthouse allows a form of commitment as confirmation of the booking. The commitment must be completed, signed, scanned and emailed to the guesthouse address.
5/ If the Guest has paid the deposit and nevertheless does not show up at the start of the hotel day - by 6 p.m. on the day of arrival at the latest - and has not informed the Guesthouse, then the obligation to rent the room expires, the deposit is forfeited and the Guest is held liable for cancellation of the reservation (see: terms of cancellation) 

II CONDITIONS FOR CANCELLATION OF HOTEL ROOM RESERVATION

1/ If a Guest has made a reservation (by paying a deposit or in any other way accepted by the Guesthouse) and yet cancels the stay or does not arrive on the scheduled date, the Guesthouse is entitled to charge the Guest the following costs. This applies to individual Guests:

- in case of cancellation up to 14 days before the date of arrival - the guest does not bear the costs and follows reimbursement of the advance paid in 100% - this applies to the summer season only*
- in case of cancellation from 13 days to 8 days prior to arrival date - Guest shall bear the costs of 70% value of the entire stay - this applies to the summer season only*
- in case of cancellation from 7 days to the day of reservation - Guest shall bear costs of 100% value of the entire stay - this applies to the summer season only*

- in case of cancellation up to 30 days prior to arrival - guest will not bear costs and will be refunded the deposit paid in 100% - this applies to winter season only*.
- in case of cancellation from 29 days to 15 days before the arrival date - the guest bears the costs of 70% of the whole stay - this applies only in the winter season*.
- in case of cancellation from 14 days to the day of reservation - guest bears costs of 100% value of the whole stay - only applies to winter season*.
*The price of the stay is shown in the e-mail offer or is based on the price list in force at the time.

2/ Guesthouse:
- may unilaterally terminate the room rental contract in the summer season no later than 14 days and in the winter season no later than 30 days before the agreed date of arrival of the guest, unless other arrangements have been made.

III CONDITIONS FOR REFUNDING THE DEPOSIT

1/ The guesthouse does not refund the deposit if the guest has not fulfilled the booking contract.
2/ Refund of the deposit is only possible if the Guest provides evidence that prevents arrival in the designated area.
These are:
- documents proving the illness of the person making the booking or of the immediate family (ascendants and descendants) issued by a recognised doctor or hospital.
- death certificate of the reserving person or his/her immediate family.
In other cases (such as car breakdown, damage, accident), please refer the matter to your insurer, so that the insurer can refund the expenses incurred for the hotel booking or reimburse the costs of the stay charged by the guesthouse.

IV FINANCIAL ISSUES RELATED TO RESIDENCY

1/ The guesthouse will not reimburse costs if a guest leaves the guesthouse earlier than agreed in the booking contract, if this is not the fault of the guesthouse, (the guesthouse is not responsible for weather conditions, conditions on the slopes, traffic jams on the roads, road congestion, etc.).

2/ In the event that a guest suffers an accident during their stay and has to shorten their stay, the guesthouse will charge the whole amount of the stay and issue a certificate to the insurance company stating that the guest has paid for the whole stay but had to shorten it due to an accident.
Please then direct any financial claims for the unused period of your stay to your insurer.

3/When a guest has to shorten his/her stay during the stay as a result of the death of his/her next of kin, the Pension will charge the amount of the whole stay and issue a certificate to the insurer stating that the guest has paid for the whole stay, but had to shorten it due to the death of his/her next of kin.
Please then direct any financial claims for the unused period of your stay to your insurer.
