The road to the summit is entirely asphalted. Due to the reduced width of the road, traffic operates one-way with traffic lights controlling the flow. The border is located at the pass summit, where there is a second traffic light, and nearby a car park, a caf\u00e9, and a souvenir shop.<\/p><p>This pass is so narrow that its Italian section is prohibited for caravans, buses, lorries, and vehicles over 3.5 tonnes, and<span style=\"font-style: inherit; background-color: var(--ast-global-color-5);\">\u00a0A regular car has trouble passing a cyclist. If you're not first in line at the traffic lights, there's not much chance of overtaking another vehicle. The road is steep, covered with smooth asphalt and reaches an 11.0% incline.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-style: inherit; background-color: var(--ast-global-color-5);\">IMPORTANT INFORMATION:<br \/><\/span><span style=\"background-color: var(--ast-global-color-5); font-style: inherit;\">Passo Stalle is open from May to October from 5:30 AM to 10:15 PM. In case of bad weather (heavy rain or risk of landslides), the road may be temporarily closed. You could venture deeper into this massif, or take our suggestion and visit Assling Park, which boasts a walking trail with a zoo and an excellent restaurant. It's a good place to recharge your batteries before the ascent of the queen of alpine routes, the Grossglockner High Alpine Road.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section Road, but from the southern side, as we'll encounter it from the northern side during the Nockalm Road route.<br \/>Although the route may seem singular, we know that the point of view depends on the point of sitting (in this case, driving) \u2013 this pass provides different experiences when visited from a different direction.<br \/>Dozens of bends, the Pasterze Glacier viewpoint, the obligatory apple strudel with coffee... and the descent directly back to our guesthouse.<\/p><p>Perfect
