Zell am See<\/strong> read Hello at the sea!<\/strong>\u2013 a charming town by Lake Zell, whose surroundings are a magnet for tourists and fans of active recreation. The clear (drinking water quality) and pleasantly warm waters of Lake Zell invite swimming, diving, windsurfing, and sailing enthusiasts, and the Schmittenh\u00f6he mountain is Austria's most beautiful viewpoint mountain, from the summit of which a panorama of over thirty-three three-thousanders opens up.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

What is worth seeing<\/strong><\/p>

\u2013 the promenade along the lake, which stretches across the entire width of the city
\u2013 a walk along the city's main street and the old town
Rosenberg Castle
\u2013 built on a square plan, with four corner turrets and one round one \u2013 typical of the southern
\u2013 Bavarian style. In 1969, the town bought SchloS Rosenberg. It has been stylishly renovated and now houses the town hall, a gallery, and a library.
\u2013 **Kastner Tower** (Kasnterturm), which is the oldest building in the city, likely built before the year 1000. Erected many years ago for defensive purposes, it now houses a museum within its walls.

\u2013 visit the exhibitions and the regional costume shop (Trachten) (right next to the Intersport shop)<\/p>

Where is there a good place to eat:<\/strong><\/p>

Mitterberghof Restaurant Mitterbergweg<\/strong> 155, 5700 Thumersbach - access via a narrow asphalt road, right to the top from where there is a beautiful view of the lake and the town. We recommend the regional dish to eat:<\/p>

– Late at night<\/strong> (Read K\u00e4sakn\u00f6dle!) - dumplings (sp\u00e4tzle) fried with onions and a strong-smelling regional cheese! \u2013 the dish is usually served on a pan - this is a portion for two people. K\u00e4sakn\u00f6dle are very filling!<\/p>

Torn pancake<\/strong> (read: kay-zer-shmar-en) a fluffy pancake, torn into pieces, dusted with icing sugar, and served with plum jam or apple sauce. \u2013<\/p>

Dumpling<\/strong> (pronounced Garmknudel) a large, yeasted dumpling filled with plum jam, sprinkled with poppy seeds and sugar, and drizzled with butter<\/p>

Access to the restaurant Pensjonat Irnbhhn - direction Zell am See - at the first roundabout take the second exit right towards Tumersbach, in Tumersbach in the centre turn right towards Mitterberghof (look for signs). <\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Lake beaches <\/strong>\u2013 we recommend the beaches on the opposite side of Zell am See in Tumersbach and Prielau (free beach). There are electric boat, kayak and pedal boat rentals available.<\/p>

In Zell am See, there is a beach with a swimming pool.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Panoramic boat tour<\/strong> Around Lake Zell. The boat sails around the lake, stopping at several points. On the deck of the boat, you can enjoy coffee while admiring the Alpine scenery.<\/p>

The tour lasts about 45 minutes. Stop by the promenade to the Grand Hotel. The boat departs from 9:30 every half hour. The cost is about \u00a37 per adult.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Throughout the summer, in the centre of Zell am See, the town hosts events on Lake Zellersee Laser, fountain and music shows<\/strong>Every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday, a light, water and music show takes place between 10:00 PM and 10:25 PM.<\/p>

The best place to park is at the train station, then walk along the tracks to the other side and head right towards Elizabeth Park \u2013 entry to the shows is free.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

ACCESS Imbachhorn Guesthouse \u2013 Bruck- lder Zell am See- at the third roundabout, enter the tunnel, in the tunnel take the exit for Centrum, after leaving the tunnel, go steeply downhill after the first traffic lights \u2013 towards the train station.
